TAFE Outreach programs are closely aligned to the Federal Social Inclusion Agenda ensuring NSW education is accessible to people who face barriers to learning including geographical and social isolation, language and cultural factors, financial hardship, lack of educational confidence, being unaware of opportunities to learn, a disability or family commitments.

Participants


Participants in PEET classes are from a ranges of backgrounds. They can be:
  • resistant learners 
  • anti authoritarian
  • culturally diverse
  • age 18 - 55
  • have negative experiences in education system
  • often left school with no year 10
  • may dislike traditional classroom environment
  • be distrustful
  • be substance misusers
  • lack organisational skills
  • have low motivation
  • poor self esteem
  • lack resilience
  • socially isolated
  • have financial hardship
  • have transport problems.
